- **How to Make Outcome-Based Pricing Work** (2026-09-10)
Outcome-based pricing needs a second product, or three: a scoring system that qualifies customers by whether the outcome is achievable within a set timeframe without exceeding implementation cost, an event-level attribution engine that draws a causal line from what the agent completed to the outcome the customer actually stated, and a retention and reporting layer that lets customers manage their agents and keep improving intelligence-to-cost ratio — once creating agents is cheap and a company runs thousands of them, maintaining them is real value added, not rent-seeking.

- **Inevitable Memory Doom** (2026-08-16)
Email, photos, and enterprise software each ran the same cycle: make accumulation effortless, then monetize the overflow once it becomes unmanageable. Agentic coding is about to run it again — the real opportunity is a product that prevents the pile from forming, not one that sells more storage after it does.

- **Code Is Getting Cheaper. Refactoring Is Getting More Expensive.** (2026-08-03)
cheap generation → larger, less-understood codebase → expensive archaeology → shallower refactors → accumulating illegibility → loss of future maneuverability.

- **The Case for "Login with ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini"** (2026-07-23)
AI consumer apps are priced like enterprise software because every interaction carries a metered inference bill. Millions of people already pay for Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini and barely use their quota. Here's the economic case for letting builders tap that capacity, why OpenClaw already tried it and got shut down, and what would have to change for providers to open this door on purpose.

- **AI Is Ready for Its Next Phase: Inference** (2026-07-15)
Raw model capability is becoming abundant, and the premium on owning the single best model is starting to decline. The next moat is the inference control plane around the model.

- **Advice to CEOs: Don't Rely on One Model** (2026-06-15)
The worst AI architecture an enterprise can build today is one where a single model becomes the source of truth for an important task.

- **UI Is Not Dead** (2026-05-15)
Chat and voice are becoming powerful interfaces for expressing intent, but people still need to see outcomes, compare alternatives, and remain in control. UI isn't dying. Its role is changing.

- **Second order effects of code becoming cheap** (2026-02-16)
Code is becoming free, but the tacit and institutional knowledge that came with writing it isn't. AI just broke the only mechanism (juniors becoming seniors) that transmitted it, with real second-order effects on open source, code monoculture, and documentation.
