How to Make Outcome-Based Pricing Work
Outcome-based pricing needs a second product, or three: a scoring system that qualifies customers by whether the outcome is achievable within a set timeframe without exceeding implementation cost, an event-level attribution engine that draws a causal line from what the agent completed to the outcome the customer actually stated, and a retention and reporting layer that lets customers manage their agents and keep improving intelligence-to-cost ratio — once creating agents is cheap and a company runs thousands of them, maintaining them is real value added, not rent-seeking.
